Random Acts of Kindness
As we grow up sometimes I think its easy to think that good in the world is hard to find. Maybe its because we're bombarded by negative news stories or just seem to have images of a fear stricken society. But, I wanted to share a simple act of kindness that happened to me today. A simple act that restored my faith that good things are really happening all the time and maybe we just need to tell each other about them more. I was at the grocery store today and had acart full of groceries. My kids were getting restless and had already been buckled into their car seats. As I went to put one of the 3 gallons of milk we needed in the car, the plastic bag broke, throwing the jug of milk to the ground, spilling everywhere. The woman next to me said, I think they'll get you a new one. I wanted to laugh, but I couldn't believe this happened. She was about to pull away and she said, I'll go get you a new one, I'm not in a hurry today anyway. Wow! What a simple act and yet showed so much compassion. I was very grateful and it was difficult for me to accept the help, but wow did it make things easier since I had my 2 little ones with me. I hope to pay this act forward and I hope everyone reading this will do the same.
